Musings
I like to write; I write novels, poetry, prose, articles, tutorials...basically, anything. Here are some of my various writing pieces (poems, short stories, and articles,) for your viewing/reading enjoyment.
Poetry & Prose
I write poetry from sudden inspirations I have; therefore, it's rarely structured. Sometimes I purposely impose rhyme, but never meter. I'm no master poet, I just like to write what I feel. Listed from oldest to newest. (To the best of my recollection.)
Articles
As a writer, I enjoy ranting, raging, and raving about the various topics brought to my attention that particularly grab me: whether I wish to bring the subject to light for my readers, or simply to release some pent-up, stir-crazy, beast of an emotion, these articles are here for you to read and, hopefully, enjoy.
- The Truth About Homeschooling
Having been homeschooled since preschool, I have been asked many questions about my schooling method. In this article, I answer them all, and, hopefully, make the reader understand what homeschooling is really like.
- A Single Flower of Love
What is love, exactly? This article lets you into my mind--briefly--to see what my thoughts on love are.
- Making A Difference
Even if Global Warming isn't caused by humans, isn't it still a good idea to take care of Earth, just because? In this article, you can read my feelings on Global Warming, how drastically it effects our everyday lives, and ten easy steps you can take towards making our planet healthier.
- Say NO to GMO!
GMO is an abbreviation for Genetically Modified Organisms and, like it or not, much of the food you eat most likely contains them. Though the FDA states GMO to be perfectly safe, this article, (with many cites to trustworthy resources,) presents a different opinion.
- It Never Should Have Happened
Written the day of the Virginia Tech Massacre, this article is entirely unedited and blatantly expresses my feelings on the subject. I truthfully believe, as this article states, that were there stricter rules applying to gun purchase, this disaster never would have happened: it never should have happened.
Short Stories
I wrote all of these for a writing class I took during the autumn of '07.
- The Letter
This is a true story, though I edited it a bit to make it 'flow' better.
- Untitled #1
This was written as a 10-minute writing exercise (more about that is detailed in this piece's introduction,) and has yet to be named.
